Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to paid monthly Johco Excel subscriptions bought directly from Johco. It explains renewal, cancellation, refund review, and how to contact us about a charge. It should be read with the Terms of Service.

Monthly subscription and renewal

Johco Excel Individual costs $9 per month and Johco Excel Professional costs $19 per month, unless a different price or valid promotion is shown at checkout. A subscription begins when Stripe confirms the first payment. It then renews each month at the price shown at checkout until it is canceled. Taxes, if required, may be added by Stripe at checkout.

Before a customer is sent to Stripe Checkout, Johco shows the selected monthly price and requires the customer to authorize automatic monthly renewal. There is no free trial in the current release. A promotion affects only the charge or billing periods stated in that promotion; it does not change the regular renewal price unless the promotion expressly says otherwise.

How to cancel

A customer may cancel at any time. Sign in to the Johco account, open the billing section, select Manage billing, and cancel through the Stripe customer portal. The cancellation mechanism is online and does not require a call, chat, or meeting with Johco. If the account or billing portal cannot be reached, email admin@johco.store from the address used for the Johco account and describe the access problem.

Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not ordinarily reverse a charge that has already completed. Access and the monthly API allowance remain available through the end of the current paid billing period unless the subscription is ended earlier because of fraud, abuse, a charge reversal, a legal requirement, or another ground allowed by the Terms of Service. Deleting a Johco account is not a substitute for canceling an active subscription; the account flow requires the active subscription to be canceled first.

General refund rule

Paid subscription fees are generally nonrefundable after a billing period begins, except where a refund is required by law or Johco approves a refund after review. This rule does not limit any right that cannot lawfully be limited. Johco may approve a full or partial refund for a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, a charge made after a timely cancellation, a verified billing error, or a material service problem caused by Johco. These examples do not guarantee a refund in every case.

Not using the service, forgetting to cancel, using fewer than the available API calls, obtaining a result that requires professional review, or deciding that the service is not a fit does not by itself create a refund right. Johco functions can depend on the clarity of the input, available data, the covered geography, Excel behavior, and third-party services. Customers must review outputs as stated in the Terms and Disclaimer.

Requesting a refund review

A customer with subscription history may submit a request from the account billing section. The customer may also email admin@johco.store. The request should identify the Johco account email, charge date, amount, and reason for the request. Do not send a full card number, bank-account number, password, or Excel installation token.

The account records the request and its status. Submission starts a manual review and does not determine eligibility or outcome. Johco may ask for information reasonably needed to identify the charge, verify the account, reproduce a reported service problem, or prevent fraud. A request should be submitted promptly so that the charge and relevant system records can be reviewed. No statement in this policy shortens a mandatory statutory period.

Johco will provide the decision through the account, email, or both. If a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be sent to the original payment method through Stripe. Bank and card-network processing times are outside Johco's control. A refund cannot exceed the amount actually paid for the affected charge after discounts, credits, and prior refunds. Taxes are handled as required by the payment and tax records for the transaction.

Service problems and unauthorized charges

Report a material service problem through the contact form or by email. Johco may first attempt to correct the account, restore access, rerun a failed server operation, or provide another reasonable remedy. Failed server executions release their reserved API request and do not consume the monthly allowance.

If a charge is not recognized, contact Johco promptly and also follow the card issuer's instructions for protecting the payment method. Johco may suspend access connected to a disputed or reversed charge while the matter is reviewed. Asking Johco to investigate does not waive any right to contact a bank, card issuer, regulator, or other authority.

Changes and controlling terms

The policy presented with the subscription applies to that purchase together with the Terms of Service and any mandatory law. Johco may update this policy for later billing periods. A material change to renewal or cancellation terms will be disclosed as required before it applies. If this policy conflicts with a nonwaivable legal right, that right controls. If a subscription is bought through a third-party marketplace in the future, that marketplace's billing and refund rules may also apply.
